Fund Raising Charity Sale in conjunction with 6th Club Crew World Championship (CCWC 2008) in aid of the victims of recent calamities in China & Myanmar.
The CCWC 2008 which was held on Jul 31 – Aug 31 2008 at the Teluk Bahang Dam was the biggest dragon boat event ever held in South East Asia. Hence, as Penangites, we were delighted to share the aspiration of PIDBF in charging forward this mission with intense excitement.
Being a responsible corporate entity, Pacific West is committed to spearhead meaningful CSR initiatives to help promote the image of our country in the international platform. Through such sponsorship, we aimed not only to promote the spirit of sportsman comradeship but also enhance tourism locally and internationally.
Besides being a corporate sponsor for the uniforms of the PIDBF committees, we had also organized a charity sale of cooked Pacific West seafood products whereby 100% of the proceeds from the charity sale (excluding the sale of other souvenir merchandise) will be donated to the victims of the recent calamities in China & Myanmar via Tzu Chi Merits Society. A total sum of RM8,391.00 was collected through the aforesaid charity sale and a cheque presentation ceremony was held at Tzu Chi’s premises.
