Pacific West Foods Call for Entries for the 2008 Deep Sea Frosty Fish Cook Off!

Attention all home cooks and seafood connoisseurs! Grab your aprons to participate in "A creation in harmony with nature" competition organised by Pacific West Foods Sdn. Bhd.
20 contestants will be eligible to participate in the PW’s Cooking Competition during the IFOODEX PISA 2008 by creating their original specialties on the stage on 28 June 2008 at Penang International Sports Arena (PISA).  One eligible winner will be chosen as the reigning champion.
Contestants are to compete on cooking a unique yet tasty dish by using the main ingredient, Deep Sea Frosty Fish Fillets (2 pieces), the first MSC (Marine Stewardship Council) certified product in Malaysia. Contestants have to cook the dish in their very own way alone with no assistant in the allotted 30 minutes. Cookware, utensils and garnishing materials are to be prepared by contestants as the organizer will be only providing gas stove and cooking table for all contestants during the event.

Cash and Prizes

The Cook-Off champion will win a RM 500 cash prize and exclusive Pacific West’s premiums to be carried home.
The 1st and 2nd runner ups will received RM300 and RM200 cash prize respectively besides the exclusive premiums from Pacific West. Meanwhile, there will be 4 contestants to be selected to receive their consolation prizes with RM50 cash each. All contestants will be given a cool bag packed with PW’s products on complimentary.

How to Enter

This competition is open to all Malaysia residents, 18 years or older, except food professionals, such as chefs, food writers, or food home economists who create recipes for pay.
